Job Summary
We are currently hiring a person to load trucks and prepare loads at our
Ottawa, ON Branch . This is a full-time, permanent position where the successful candidate will assist and support plant personnel to efficiently process orders to customer specifications, achieving quality standards and production requirements as well as timelines.

Job Responsibilities
Complete pre-inspection equipment reports before each shift
Perform all tasks safely and as directed
Comply with all workplace policies including health and safety
Perform all tasks in a professional respectful manner
Any other tasks that may be assigned by management
Participate in all company directed training
Select correct material from entire warehouse to load trucks with prepared orders / help to assemble unprepared customer orders to load trucks and organize work orders to consistently meet scheduled delivery dates with the ability to use the forklift, overhead crane, strapping machine and skill saw
Feed production areas in the shop - both inside saws, shear & brake, burning machine table with the proper material when required
Receiving of material - complete appropriate paperwork as per Quality procedures – marking material with correct heat number, grade, tag number, colour coding, etc.
Skills and Qualifications
Grade 12 education or equivalent
Ability to read, write and understand English
Ability to operate the overhead crane / forklift in order to unload trucks / load trucks
Able to build pallets and package material as required for customer orders
Hourly Rate: $28.38 + $0.75 shift premium
Shift: Afternoons - 2:30pm-10:30pm (Monday to Friday)
