Position Overview
ARS Responds Canada is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice-President, Sales and Business Development to lead the company's national sales and business development strategy across Canada.
Reporting to the executive leadership team, the Vice-President will be accountable for driving sustainable and profitable revenue growth, expanding market share, developing key accounts, diversifying the client base, and leading a high-performing national business development team.
The Vice-President will work closely with Operations and Finance to ensure sales and growth strategies align with client demand, operational capacity, service standards, margin expectations, and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national sales and business development strategy focused on sustainable and profitable revenue growth, client acquisition, account growth, market share, and diversification.
- Develop and expand strategic relationships with insurers, brokers, adjusting firms, property management organizations, and commercial clients,
increasing penetration within existing accounts while securing new national and regional opportunities.
- Build targeted commercial growth strategies across property management, REITs, facilities management, institutional, and large commercial clients to diversify the company's revenue base.
- Develop structured strategies for major national accounts, including revenue targets, geographic penetration, retention, account growth, and executive-level relationship management.
- Identify and evaluate new markets and segments in partnership with Operations and Finance, considering client demand, revenue potential, operational capacity, service standards, margin expectations, and financial viability.
- Establish consistent national sales KPIs and accountability measures covering pipeline, conversion, forecasting, new business, account growth, client concentration, and individual and team performance.
- Lead, coach, and develop regional business development teams, establishing clear expectations, performance measures, and accountability.
- Lead major account pursuits, client presentations, negotiations, commercial agreements, and other activities supporting new business and account growth.
- Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, and client developments to identify opportunities and account risks.
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and forecasting, using sales analytics to improve conversion, accountability, forecast accuracy, and timely corrective action.
- Represent ARS Responds Canada at industry conferences, trade associations, networking events, and client functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer service, and continuous improvement within the business development team.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive sales and business development leadership experience, preferably in property restoration, insurance, property management, construction, facilities management, or a related industry.
- Proven success winning significant accounts and leading regional or national sales teams to defined targets and sustainable, profitable revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of the insurance and property sectors, including relationships with insurers, brokers, adjusters, property managers, and commercial clients.
- Property restoration experience is a strong asset. Candidates with relevant insurance or property sector experience will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies, manage complex client relationships, and advance opportunities through the sales cycle.
- Strong leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing high-performing sales teams.
- Experience partnering with Operations and Finance to align sales strategy, capacity planning, client commitments, margins, and financial objectives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market conditions, sales performance, pipeline activity, and revenue opportunities, and develop business cases for market expansion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience with CRM systems, pipeline management, opportunity qualification, sales analytics, and forecasting.
- Ability to travel throughout Canada, as required.
- Valid driver's license.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent education and industry experience will be considered.
