Marine / Boat Technician

We are currently seeking an experienced Marine / Boat Technician to join our growing service team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine vessels and related systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on boats and marine equipment
Perform maintenance and repairs on inboard and outboard engines
Service propulsion systems, fuel systems, steering systems, and cooling systems
Install and troubleshoot marine electronics and electrical components
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
Perform engine tune-ups, oil changes, and system adjustments
Ensure all work meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards
Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation
Work collaboratively with service advisors and other technicians

Requirements
Previous experience as a Marine Technician, Boat Mechanic, or Marine Service Technician
Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills




Experience with marine engines (Mercury, Yamaha, Volvo Penta, etc.) preferred
Ability to read technical manuals and diagnostic tools
Solid troubleshooting abilities for electrical and mechanical systems
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications
Marine technician certification or related training
Experience working in a marina, boat dealership, or marine repair facility
Experience with fiberglass repair or marine electronics is an asset
