Unit Summary Diagnostic Services supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing service within Radiology, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound and Interventional. Most areas within this Unit function 24 hours per day, seven days per week.
Position Summary As a member of a Multidisciplinary Health Care team, co-ordinates, performs and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations within the specific modalities and disciplines. Accepts the responsibility for the technical operation, co-ordination and quality of service for a specific area within Diagnostic Services.
Liaises with the Radiologist to ensure the technical quality of procedures within that area are performed at a high level.. Rotation though other modalities and sites based on qualifications and unit requirements maybe required. Schedule Work Hours days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays (standby as required) Qualifications 1.




Graduate of an approved training program in Radiological Technology 2. Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of Ontario 3. Minimum of 3 years experience in specific modality 4. Current BCLS registration 5. Advanced skill in performing complex studies independently 6.
Demonstrated ability to work responsibly in a team workplace 7. Demonstrated leadership skills 8. Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills 9. Effective problem solving skills, critical thinking and the ability to prioritize in a fast paced clinical environment 10.

Evidence of participation in on going education & professional development 11. Membership in the CAMRT/OAMRT preferred
