-09-22**Closing Date:**2026-09-29**Job Description**Position Summary The Registered Nurse is responsible for incorporating the College of Nurses of Ontario and unit-specific standards and competencies into nursing practice and is an integral member of the multidisciplinary team practicing as an advocate educator and direct caregiver

**Qualifications*** Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required.* Applicants who have current acute Surgical experience in Gynecology Bariatric and GI will be given preference. Preference will be given to applicants with acute GI Medical experience.* Experience in specific skills is preferred i.e. PCA’s epidurals TPN ostomy care initiation and management of IV therapy.* Committed to the use of the nursing process and individualized care plans.* Current BCLS/HCP certification required* Demonstrated knowledge sensitivity and expertise in the care of seniors and their families* Gentle Persuasive Approach training preferred* Demonstrated organizational abilities.* Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.* Good attendance and work record is essential.* A resume regarding further education special courses and experience should accompany the application.**Responsibilities*** Base practice on nursing science and on content relevant to nursing from other sciences and humanities.

The Registered Nurse continues to learn throughout his/her professional life demonstrating ongoing knowledge of evidence
