Our client is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to join their organization in a senior leadership capacity within the P&C; actuarial function. This role will lead reserving initiatives while acting as a key strategic partner to the broader business, providing insight across financial performance, risk management, and regulatory matters.This position offers strong visibility across senior leadership and the opportunity to work on a broad range of strategic and technical initiatives beyond traditional reserving.Key Responsibilities
Lead the valuation and reserving function across multiple P&C; lines of businessProvide Appointed Actuary support and oversee regulatory and statutory actuarial responsibilitiesDeliver reserve adequacy analysis, financial insights, and actuarial recommendations to executive stakeholdersPartner closely with underwriting, finance, claims, reinsurance, and risk teams on business initiatives and portfolio performanceSupport strategic projects involving capital management, business planning, profitability analysis,



and enterprise risk considerationsAdvise senior leadership on actuarial trends, emerging risks, and business impactsDrive continuous enhancement of actuarial methodologies, governance frameworks, and reporting processesContribute to cross-functional initiatives, transformation projects, and broader corporate actuarial mattersMentor and develop actuarial talent within the teamQualifications
FCAS / FCIA (or equivalent)Significant actuarial experience within the P&C; insurance sector, with robust reserving expertisePrevious exposure to Appointed Actuary responsibilities or direct support to the Appointed Actuary functionStrong business acumen with the ability to provide both technical and strategic actuarial guidanceExperience presenting to executive leadership, regulators, or external stakeholdersPrior consulting exposure or experience supporting multiple stakeholders/business units is considered an asset
