In attaining this client commitment, TDAM has built one of Canada’s largest and most respected investment management and research teams with more than 220 Portfolio Managers, Associate Portfolio Managers, Traders and Analysts. The Passive Fixed Income team manages a broad range of mandates designed to closely track fixed income benchmarks. The team leverages portfolio management, quantitative analysis, and efficient trading strategies to deliver benchmark-aligned returns while maintaining disciplined risk management and strong client outcomes.Job Description/Accountabilities
Manage fixed income portfolios to track their respective benchmarks within prescribed tracking varianceParticipate in new order management activitiesMonitor daily portfolio cash flows and characteristics and review and analyze required changes to portfolio structure using a variety of analytical toolsDesign and implement fixed income trade programsEnsure portfolio compliance with investment and regulatory policyConduct market and security specific analysis including corporate actionsRespond to portfolio administration inquiries and troubleshootingIdentify and implement process improvementsParticipate in cross department initiativesParticipate in external client servicing requirements and presentationsCollaborate with other portfolio management team members and relationship managers to ensure the delivery of an excellent client experienceProvide ongoing support to business partners including client servicing,
relationship management and risk management'Specific Educational Requirements/Skills/Accreditations
Preferred university degree in quantitative discipline (math, engineering or science) and / or business or economicsDemonstrates a high level of initiative, highly motivated and a self-starterCFA designationRegistered as an Advising Representative with regulatory commissions undefinedOther Qualifications/Skills/Experience
Minimum 7 – 10 years of fixed income investment experience and knowledge of fixed income benchmarks and methodologyDemonstrated analytical and quantitative skillsStrong proficiency in excel and VBASolid understanding of portfolio managementFamiliar with financial market technology platformsExcellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex investment idealsAbility to work independently and in a team settingStrong organizational, prioritization and time management skillsAbility to do multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast paced, time sensitive environmentExperience managing Fixed Income ETF's an assetWho We Are
