Community Rehab Therapist – Job DescriptionOur Rehab Therapists (RT) and/or Registered Kinesiologists implement therapeutic programs at the home, gym, school and other community settings, to meet client's needs. RTs work under the supervision of a registered rehabilitation professional.ResponsibilitiesSupport clients in achieving goals as identified by the rehab teamImplement established protocols and intervention strategies for both cognitive and physical impairmentsAssist with behaviour management and provide emotional support for clients with psychological/psychiatric impairmentsLiaise with families, friends, rehab team about the client's needs and care in the communityProvide services in a adaptable environment and flexible working hoursAssist with implementing devices and technology to improve client's safetyQualificationsCritical thinking and decision makingEffective time management and organizational skillsA background working with people with dementia and psychological/behavioural impairments is an asset.Fluency in an additional language in addition to English will be considered an assetValid driver's license with access to a reliable vehicle as all work is community based
