MaKami team members are provided with many opportunities for professional career growth in a fulfilling and dynamic work environment.The MaKami team is passionate about creating generational change through education, and we provide the tools and a safe environment for our staff to change the lives of our students and their families.This position has primary responsibility for providing Administrative support to the Student Advisor Services Team, ensuring that students are provided with the best possible service.Major Accountabilities/Responsibilities (Including but not limited to the following)Providing information to colleagues and students, while handling sensitive information in a confidential mannerAssisting with the organization and coordination of student 1st and 2nd-year orientationsPreparing and auditing doutangs and student contracts,
ensuring all relevant information is includedBooking appointments for SAS Management and AdvisorsBooking student toursFielding incoming calls and inquiries from studentsEnsuring student files are complete and submitted to the relevant departmentsCreating student Identification cards, ensuring they are uploaded to SharePointPreparing Approved Tuition Credit Letters for StudentsAssisting Students with disability funding applications and processing agreementsCompiling disability tutoring report for student aidWorking collaboratively with members of the Student Advisory Services (SAS) team and Faculty to ensure that students are provided with the best possible serviceRequirementsDiploma or Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized institutionMinimum of two years of experience in an administrative roleKnowledge of office administration proceduresSkills and CompetenciesExcellent verbal and written communication skills, grammar and spellingFluent in the English language (verbal and written)Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities at onceHigh proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong organization and planning skillsHigh attention to detailAbility to build strong relationships internallyAbility to work efficiently and with integrity under pressurePersonal CharacteristicsDisplay a qualified appearance and demeanor at all times.Approachable, positive, respectful and courteousAble to build strong relationships.Reliable and dependableAble to use initiative.Critical thinker and problem solverSupport MaKami's vision of providing a positive learning environment for all students, and culture of supporting and valuing each other as a member of the MaKami 'family'Perform all assigned duties and responsibilities with confidence and to the best of your abilities.Continually seek the most effective ways to streamline daily activities, reduce costs or improve quality of products and services.Respectful of others, proactively communicating with a high degree of transparency, respect and professionalismWork collaboratively with others through the sharing of ideas and knowledge.Staff Discount in College StoreFree Parking
