Elliott Coach Lines has a current opening in its Elmira shop. Additional responsibilities may also be required in Breslau. Apprentices will also be considered for this role.Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the 310T Licensed Technician (Mechanic) is responsible for the day-to-day preventative and post-incident repairs of a large fleet of commercial vehicles. This fast-paced, but diligent role will diagnose and carry out all repairs for mechanical issues and problems discovered in various commercial School Buses and civilian class vehicles. The incumbent will maintain a robust sense of customer service while interacting with various stakeholders, School Bus Drivers, Dispatchers, Managers, Peer Mechanics, Apprentices and Governmental Agencies.Job DutiesPerform Brake and Safety Inspections and carry out preventative maintenanceEnsure all vehicle inspections are completed in a timely fashion each monthPerform service calls and cold starts as requiredEnsure you have knowledge of our safety policies and adhere to themPerform additional vehicle repairs as neededAdhere to compliance-based regulations from a Company, Federal,



Provincial and Municipal perspectiveComplete reports to record problems and work performedInspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctionsDiagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replaceQualificationsPossess and maintain in good standing a valid 310T LicenseValid Driver's LicenseThorough working knowledge of Municipal, Provincial and Federal safety provisionsPractical experience in preventative maintenance practices, particularly within the School Bus industry, is an assetAbility to work in team-based, collaborative workWe are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
