This role presents a excellent prospect for career development within a professional environment.The position involves a mix of fieldwork (70%), which includes travel and remote assignments, and in-office tasks (30%).At times, you may work independently for extended periods while following all necessary safety protocols.As an Environmental Monitor, your responsibilities will include:Conducting environmental site monitoring and compliance inspectionsPerforming wildlife and habitat assessmentsExecuting field surveys and data collectionMonitoring water, soil,



and air quality as requiredReporting on environmental impacts and mitigation measuresEnsuring adherence to environmental standards and regulationsCollaborating with on-site client representatives and contractorsAssisting Project Managers in preparing regulatory documentationSupporting additional team responsibilities to drive project successSkills and Qualifications We Seek:Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skillsAdaptability to varied field and office environmentsKnowledge of environmental permitting and regulatory complianceFamiliarity with AER OneStop system (an asset)Understanding of Sensitive Species Inventory GuidelinesKnowledge of Public Land Act regulations (an asset)Proficiency in environmental legislation at local, provincial, and federal levels (an asset)Experience in environmental monitoring, wildlife assessments, and data reportingEligibility for Alberta's Professional Regulatory OrganizationsWillingness to learn and grow in the roleEffective communication skills to accurately convey field findingsStrong teamwork and collaboration abilitiesValid driver's licenseWe encourage applications from all backgrounds and experience levels; a proactive and adaptable attitude is key.
