This role blends deep technical contribution with ownership of test strategy, framework development, and light team leadership.This position plays a critical part in our competency-based engineering structure, ensuring quality,



reliability, and security are engineered consistently across products and platforms.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesHands-On Test Engineering (Primary Responsibility)Design, implement, and maintain automated tests across the full system stack:Unit, integration, system, and end-to-end testsHardware in the Loop (HIL) / Software in the Loop (SIL) setupsBackend/API and application test automationContribute directly to test code, automation frameworks, and shared librariesTroubleshoot complex system interactions across device embedded software backend applicationsDemonstrate engineering rigor and set the standard for test quality through your own contributionsTest Strategy & Technical LeadershipOwn and continuously evolve a multi-layered test strategy grounded in:System architecture and interface behaviorsRisk assessment and failure modesCybersecurity requirements (including alignment with IEC 62443 practices)Define automation scope and manual testing boundariesEnsure automated tests are meaningful, maintainable, and aligned with system riskReview and guide test designs and automation work contributed by othersCI/CD and DevOps CollaborationPartner closely with DevOps engineering to:Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelinesImprove test environment reliability, reproducibility, and scalabilityEmbed security, configuration, and compliance checks in the pipelineHelp define "done" criteria from a quality and reliability standpointReduce feedback cycles for developers through productive test orchestrationThis is not a heavy HR or administrative role.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to test engineers embedded within delivery teamsSet coding, automation, and documentation standards for testing practicesSupport skill development in automation, systems thinking, and secure testingCoordinate testing priorities and workload across multiple product teamsQuality Visibility & Risk CommunicationProvide clear, data-driven assessments of system quality, trends,
