DescriptionWe are looking for a compassionate and team-orientated Crisis Services Advocate to join our Crisis Services team providing crisis service delivery, including agency Intakes, walk-in services, needs assessments, safety planning, information and referrals, assessing level of risk, providing information about crime victim's rights and agency services, answering the 24/7 Crisis Line, and supporting Survivors Advocacy Team (SAT) response. This position requires participation in an on-call rotation for SAT response.Reports to: Crisis Services CoordinatorSupervises: Assigned volunteers and internsPrimary FunctionsProvide crisis intervention and safety planning for victims of domestic violence and sexual assaultConduct agency intakes, including needs and risk assessments, service planning, and shelter eligibility screeningRespond to crisis line calls, walk-in clients, and Survivors' Advocacy Team (SAT) response needs, providing crisis intervention, information, and referralsSupport Survivors' Advocacy Team (SAT) response, including coordination and dispatch to hospitals and law enforcement agencies, as neededAssess client needs and connect clients to appropriate resources, including agency programs and community servicesProvide information and education on protective orders, crime victims' compensation, Child Protective Services, and available agency servicesCoordinate with external partners, including mobile crisis units, as appropriate to support client safetyProvide SAT on-call coverage,



responding onsite to area hospitals and law enforcement agencies to provide support and crisis interventionMaintain accurate, complete, and confidential client records and documentationApply qualified judgment to client interactions, decision-making, and problem-solving in crisis situationsParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development as requiredMaintain flexibility to support evening, overnight, and weekend coverage based on program needsParticipate in DCFOF staff and education meetings as requested.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by staff assigned to this position.
