Job Title: Production ManagerDepartment: ManagementReporting to: Plant ManagerLocation: Chatham, ONVacancy Status: This posting is for an existing vacancy.Greenfield is looking for aProduction Manager to join our growing team.Position Overview:Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for establishing departmental objectives in the areas of Safety, Environmental Compliance, Production, Quality, and Operational Efficiency, while developing and implementing strategies that drive continuous improvement and sustainable results. This role has full ownership, accountability, and responsibility for all activities within the Production department, ensuring the safe, effective, and reliable production of industrial alcohol, fuel ethanol, DDG, WDG, CDS, corn oil, and CO2.The Production Manager provides leadership and direction to the Process Operators, Operations Coordinator, Production Engineer, and Process & Innovation Specialist, fostering a high-performing team focused on achieving departmental goals. Experience with alcohol production background is an assetProven experience in establishing a vision and setting objectives, and change managementExperience with performance management,
developing people and achieving results through othersAdvanced ability to evaluate and interpret technical reports and correspondenceGood knowledge of EH&S regulatory requirementsComfortable with people; proven experience of leading and facilitating teams of peopleHas clear communication, team focus and expectations. A strategic thinker that can develop a vision and implement continuous improvement initiativesPossesses Company values of Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Commitment coupled with the ability to accept and drive change.Job Responsibilities:Implement, oversee, and comply with all Company health and safety, environmental, and quality policies and regulatory requirementsEstablish, prioritize, and lead implementation strategies to achieve department and plant objectives, optimal plant performance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Stay current on industry performance standards and best practices, and ensure that the plant facility meets or exceeds benchmark standardsDetermine future needs and priorities, and establish the technical direction for the process and departmentCollaborate, evaluate, and prioritize plant objectives, and participate in the development and implementation of business action plans as a member of the Chatham leadership teamWith respect to direct reports, the Production Manager is expected to:Establish objectives, priorities, and support team activitiesCommunicate regularly with all employees regarding operating requirements, and operating and procedural changesFoster a team-based cultureRegulate vacation policy and ensures that crew skills are balancedCoordinate training for the groupConduct regular safety and communication meetingsProvide growth opportunities for all reportsAdminister performance evaluationsResponsible for annual department budget, monthly cost reports,
