Our teams support clients with environmental projects and emergency response activities throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia.Position OverviewWe are looking for an Environmental Consultant / Spill Responder to join our Environmental Spill Response team in Edmonton.This is a primarily field-based position, with approximately 70-80% of the work performed in the field. The role involves travel throughout Alberta, Saskatchewan, and northeastern British Columbia.The successful candidate will support spill response, environmental assessment, sampling, documentation, remediation, and related consulting activities. Due to the nature of emergency response work, flexibility to respond outside regular business hours may be required.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond to environmental incidents and support spill response activitiesAssist with spill containment, recovery, cleanup, and site assessmentCoordinate with contractors, clients, and other project personnel as requiredConduct soil, water, and other environmental samplingCollect and document field data and observationsPrepare daily field reports and assist with technical reportsMaintain accurate project records and documentationCommunicate project updates and field findings to supervisors and project teamsSupport project schedules, budgets, and other project objectivesFollow company health and safety procedures and applicable environmental regulationsWork safely in outdoor, remote,



and changing field conditionsQualificationsDegree or diploma in Environmental Science or a related disciplineValid Class 5 driver's license and acceptable driving recordExperience working in a safety-focused environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsGood organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skillsAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and remote locationsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of environmental regulations and industry practices is an assetExperience with environmental sampling, spill response, remediation, or consulting is an assetExperience interpreting environmental data is an assetCertifications and TrainingThe following are considered assets:H2S AliveGround Disturbance Level IIStandard First Aid/CPRCSTSCSOBear AwarenessIncident Command System (ICS)Spill Response or Emergency Management trainingProfessional designation or eligibility for designation as a Biologist, Agrologist, Forester, Geoscientist, Chemist, Engineer, or Technologist is considered an asset.Compensation and BenefitsThis is an hourly position with overtime opportunities.
