The Machine Operator will produce quality non-ferrous gravity castings as specified by CMP drawing and work instructions.Pay rate is $ 22.35, 23.34, 25.06 per hour based on experienceFull time permanent positionExtended Advantages Plan (Vision/Dental/Prescription/etc.) after 4 monthsOpportunity for over timeQuarterly town halls, summer BBQ's, annual golf tournament and winter holiday partySafety Shoes Reimbursement after 4 months of employmentAnd much more!Duties and responsibilities:Loads, and controls operation of the melt furnaces.Alloying metals as requiredSet-up and pre-heat of casting mouldsSet-up and pre-heat of inserts as requiredPouring molten metal into casting mouldsSkim castings and furnaces minimizing dross and slagStamping lot numbers into castingsRemoving casting from mouldsPackaging castings as requiredFabrication of inserts, cutting and pressing, as requiredMaintaining a clean work areaSafety:Follow CMP safety rules and guidelinesPromotes safe work practices as outlined in the Worksafe B.C. regulations.Uses of appropriate PPE according to the task performedRequirements:1 year of experience in melt furnace operation/as a mixed metal operator or in a similar role1 year experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment1 year of experience using hand and power toolsComfortable working in a hot environment,
