This includes arranging and scheduling time off for employees and ensuring vacant shifts are filled to meet staffing requirements and collective agreement parameters using the Departmental Staffing Guidelines procedures and electronic scheduling software.Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesScheduling:Communication with Ward Clerks and Supervisors regarding changes to shifts, vacant shiftsCreate and receive Scheduling Handover reportsMonitor short call-in box/calls and action any shift fillingReceive absence calls, leave requests,



complete call-ins to fill vacant shifts for all departmentsProcess shift changes and mutual requestsFiling related to schedulingComplete various communications according to templatesPull reports related to scheduling and workforce analyticsAssist with payroll tracking as necessaryGeneral:Incumbents must keep up-to-date on all relevant legislation, collective bargaining agreements, County Policies and Procedures, etc. ensuring that these are implemented as prescribed.Incumbents must possess the physical ability to meet the duties and responsibilities of the job description and/or the requirements identified within the position's Physical Demands Analysis.These describe the general nature and level of work being performed by incumbents in this classification.
