Salary Range: $120,000.00 To $150,000.00 AnnuallySENIOR ESTIMATORLocation: Burnaby, BC or Oakville, ONTHE OPPORTUNITYReporting to the Estimating Manager, the Senior Estimator is responsible for responding to client Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and interfacing directly with clients.This role requires a Civil Engineer with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to interpret complex technical specifications, develop design concepts, and manage all aspects of the tendering and bid preparation process.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESGenerate project and business opportunities through customer contact in alignment with BAUER Canada's business plans and growth strategiesAnalyze inquiry packages, communicate with Clients and understand their needsIdentify strategic selling points for each project and for each ClientAssess alternate methods to provide cost and time savings to ClientsPrepare and review technical tenders, bids, and tender documentationInterpret and respond to complex technical specificationsPresent design concepts to clients and other stakeholdersVisit construction sites to obtain firsthand feedback from the Operations teamsNegotiate and communicate complex technical and commercial issues to a variety of audiencesIdentify and evaluate new markets through prospecting, web research, and networkingMaintain and update client databases and portalsAttend and participate in industry events, professional groups, and networking associationsPromote BAUER's mission, vision, values, reputation, code of ethics, standards, policies, and procedures internally and externallyWHAT WE LOOK FORQualified candidates will have a Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering,
