Join Our Team as a Live in Building Caretaker!We are seeking a reliable and proactive Live-In Building Caretaker to manage the day-to-day operations of a residential strata building. This role combines hands-on maintenance, cleaning responsibilities, and coordination with property management to ensure the building is well-maintained and residents' needs are addressed promptly.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesSite Maintenance: Oversee daily site operations, maintain garbage and recycling areas, and coordinate building inspections and seasonal services.Building Systems & Technical Responsibilities: Monitor and perform basic troubleshooting of building systems, including the mechanical room, heating, ventilation, pumps, and water systems. Report issues promptly and coordinate contractor access as needed.Access & Security: Handle fob and interphone programming.Administrative Duties: Collect funds as directed, post notices, send emails, and submit caretaker reports.Property Manager Relations: Maintain consistent communication with the property manager to ensure the building is secure, well-maintained, and operating smoothly. Conduct chemical checks for the hot tub (training will be provided).Tenant Relations & Management: Respond promptly to tenant questions and requests. Report any concerning issues with tenants or residents to the property manager.Exterior Grounds: Pick up litter around the entire exterior areas of the building, including sidewalks, courtyards, and driveway ramps.Floor Care:



Sweep and damp mop hard surface floors using a neutral cleaner.Entrance / Lobby / Common Areas: Clean door frames, disinfect door handles, polish entry code panels, and vacuum walk-off mats.RequirementsStrong administrative skillsFlexibility, availability, and the ability to address requests promptlyJanitorial experience is an assetProven experience in janitorial, caretaker, or related fieldsAbility to multitask and handle high-pressure situationsStrong problem-solving and organizational skillsProficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, scheduling software, etc.)Experience working with hot tubs or swimming pools is an asset but not requiredJob DetailsJob Type: Full time, live-inSchedule: Monday-FridayShift timing: 8am-4pmStart Date: OctoberSalary: $25/hrAccommodation: A 1 BHK suite is provided within the building.
