This position offers the opportunity to participate in the construction of the Imperial Oil (IOL) Kearl Lake Sodium Citrate Injection Process System.The schedule is planned as a 21-day-on rotation, consisting of 12-hour workdays. While preference will be given to local candidates, fly-in/fly-outoptions from Edmonton, Alberta, and Calgary, Alberta may be available based on eligibility.Hourly rate: Ranges from $32.15/hr. to $53.58/hr.Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities:Perform all duties in a safe and effective manner according to all relevant legislation, policies and proceduresRead and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications to determine layout requirementsCut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machinesSelect type and size of pipe requiredMeasure, cut,



thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power toolsWeld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping systemInstall supports, valves, piping and control systemsHydrotest system for leaks using testing equipmentClean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush systemRemove and replace worn components and reactivate systemOther duties as requiredQualificationsApprentice up to and including Journeyperson Red Seal levelStrong technical knowledge and proven experience in pipefittingExperience in an industrial setting requiredKnowledge and experience with industrial construction and operationsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to clearly communicate with all levels of a project organizationRequired Tickets:Fall Protection CertificationAs part of the recruitment process, successful clearance of applicable pre-employment checks is required which may include Criminal Background/Police Information check, Drug & Alcohol test, Reference checks as well as submittal of Provincial Driver's Abstract.
