Le Chocolatier is a Canadian-owned chocolate company in Canmore, Alberta, creating fine Belgian chocolate confections in our own production facility and welcoming visitors from across Canada and around the world.

We are looking for an Operations & Fulfillment Lead to become an integral part of our team and take ownership of the day-to-day operational side of the business.

This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, proactive, practical and genuinely enjoys making things work.

You will be the person who keeps our shop, stock, packaging and orders moving smoothly—while helping us maintain the high level of quality and customer experience our business is known for.

What you’ll be responsible for

Shop & Retail Operations

- Oversee the day-to-day operation of our retail shop
- Ensure the shop is clean, organized, stocked and beautifully presented
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Maintain excellent customer service standards
- Help coordinate daily priorities and workflow
- Identify operational problems and find practical solutions

Inventory & Purchasing

- Monitor inventory levels for retail, packaging and operational supplies
- Maintain purchasing lists and complete local shopping when required
- Receive and organize deliveries
- Ensure supplies are available before they become a problem
- Maintain an organized and effective stockroom

Order Fulfillment

- Oversee preparation and packing of online, wholesale, hotel, corporate and local orders
- Ensure orders are accurate, complete and presented to our standards




- Coordinate shipping and local deliveries
- Help organize seasonal and large-volume orders
- Develop efficient systems for managing busy periods

Packaging & Product Preparation

- Participate in and oversee daily chocolate packaging
- Ensure products are correctly labelled, dated and presented
- Maintain finished-product inventory
- Coordinate packaging priorities with the chocolate production team
- Help prepare seasonal collections and gift sets

Team Support

- Help coordinate daily tasks for retail and packaging staff
- Lead by example and contribute to a positive, respectful workplace
- Train new team members in operational procedures
- Help ensure our standards are followed consistently

Previous experience in retail operations, hospitality, food production, fulfillment, inventory or a similar operational environment is an asset.

Experience supervising or coordinating a small team is also an asset, but we are ultimately looking for the right mindset, reliability and ability to take ownership.

This is not a desk job.

You’ll spend your days moving between the retail shop, stock areas, packaging and fulfillment. There will be chocolate to package, boxes to build, orders to prepare, inventory to organize and customers to help.

Hours

Full-time, year-round position.

Regular hours will be approximately 35–40 hours per week. 5 days on – 2 days off.

The successful candidate must be available to a flexible retail schedule, specifically for some weekends and holidays during peak periods.
