GE Environmental, a division of the Municipal Group of Companies, is an environmental services company that has been servicing the South Shore since 1984. Specializing in the collection and transport of garbage and recycling and offering a wide range of equipment and containers. We are currently seeking Class 3 Truck Drivers based out of Shelburne, NS.Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for driving and loading the truck in a safe manner. As well as driving the assigned routes for our environmental services.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Drive and load truck in a safe and productive manner on assigned routes according to contractual requirementsEnsure routes are completed in a timely and safe mannerResponsible for daily pre and post trip inspections of truckLoad and unload materials, tools,



and equipment under varying traffic and road conditionsMaintain radio contact with team and supervisor to receive instructions and report any issues on route or with vehicle.Immediately report any driving infractions and/or suspensionsBe aware of surroundings at all timesEnsure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the taskProtect and promote the interest of this company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy such responsibilitiesEnsure safety of fellow employeesPerform other duties as assigned.Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:Valid commercial driver's license with acceptable driver abstractWillingness to work in a team environmentAbility to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible mannerComply with all safety policies and proceduresAbility to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors to ensure that projects are completed properlyStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Previous waste and or recycling experience considered an asset but not necessaryWorking safely is a condition of employment.What We Offer:Above average competitive wagesComprehensive benefits and pension planEmployee Referral ProgramPPE provided and Safety IncentivesCompany provided training and developmentOpportunities for growth in other areas of the company
