Select how often (in days) to receive an alert:Title: General LabourerGeneral LabourerLOCATION: Edmonton- Alberta -CanadaDEPARTMENT: INDUSTRIAL OPERATIONSRoleWe are seeking a General Labourer (internally referred to as Class 1Labourer 1) position within the Production department are responsible for performing tasks such as shipping, pipe movements and operating production machinery in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined safety, quality and operations standards.Please note: Tenaris requires employees to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and fit test for this position as it is a safety sensitive position.Responsibilities:This specialty is an entry level position which can lead to progression to coating operators.Perform material handing activities such as loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or using material handling equipment such as conveyor belt, overhead crane or jib craneConduct and accurately complete pre-safety checklistsAssist with equipment setup and machine/line changeover in an efficient and safe mannerUsing power and manual tools, complete tasks safely, efficiently and to quality standardsCarry out duties in an effective manner meeting safety, quality, productivity and efficiency standardsEnsure proper use of the company assets, as well as checking, and reporting of malfunctioning equipmentAttend and participate in training activities to maintain and increase company knowledgeProactively suggest improvements and participate in continuous improvement activitiesActively participate in company safety procedures and programs: correct unsafe work practices or situations; follow reporting protocols for violations; participate in the Hazard Identification processPerform other duties as required, including,



but not limited to warehouse activities, housekeeping and administrative dutiesAdhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances and attend and participate in department safety meetingsQualifications:Minimum 1 year experience in an industrial settingCandidates with experience in shift work are preferred.Knowledge of secure equipment operation and procedures, maintenance and cleaning standardsForklift certification, an assetJib Crane or Overhead certification is an assetSkills:Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Physical ability to stand for the entire duration of the shiftPunctual, reliable, and willing to work flexible hours including overtime and weekendsProblem solving, decision making and effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team settingTime management skills with the ability to prioritize to ensure timely completion of tasks while maintaining standards of qualityBasic computer knowledgeAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, and understand verbal and written instructionsGood hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity required for operating various utility equipmentAttention to detail is critical in this role.Why Join TenarisA global leaderHelp share our future and solidify our position as leaders in our industry.People make the differenceWork with outstanding people in dynamic,
