Reports To: Executive Management / PresidentEmployment Status: Full-TimePosition PurposeThe Senior Engineer provides strategic technical leadership, professional oversight, and expert engineering judgment across FNESL's portfolio of infrastructure and capital projects, ensuring regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and mentorship of technical staff.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership & OversightProvide senior engineering oversight and professional sign-offReview and approve designs, drawings, reports, and cost estimatesEnsure compliance with legislation, codes, and professional obligationsAct as FNESL's senior technical authority on complex projectsProject & Client SupportProvide expert technical advice to leadership and clientsTo act as a Project Engineer and/or Project ManagerSupport project planning, budgeting, and schedulingAttend meetings with First Nations leadership, regulators,



and contractorsConduct site visits as requiredMentor junior and intermediate engineers and technologistsSupport proposal development and technical reviewContribute to internal standards and quality assurance processesQualifications & ExperienceMandatoryProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) in good standing with PEO or eligible for transfer20 years of progressive engineering experience being sought.Proven senior-level technical leadership and risk management experienceStrong knowledge of Ontario codes, standards, and regulations especially as they apply to the water and wastewater industry.Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
