The Chance As Senior Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of legal entities and real estate investment structures while supporting the ongoing financial operations of a sophisticated and diversified business group.About the RoleYou will have responsibility for financial reporting, investment accounting, tax support, project analysis, treasury functions, and ownership reporting across a broad range of entities and developments.ResponsibilitiesPerform full-cycle accounting for an assigned portfolio of companies and projectsPrepare reconciliations, working papers, year-end files, and draft financial statementsMonitor and analyze financial performance across a large portfolio of development and investment projectsMaintain and update project and investment information within the ERP systemPerform investment and joint venture reconciliations using the equity method of accountingSupport corporate tax compliance processes and preparation of tax schedulesAssist with personal and trust tax reporting requirementsMonitor cash flow and funding requirements across multiple entitiesMaintain investment schedules and support treasury-related activitiesPartner with project and business leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysisParticipate in special projects and strategic initiatives as requiredQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline4-7 years of progressive accounting experienceStrong understanding of financial reporting, corporate taxation, HST, and payrollExperience within real estate, development, investments, construction, or related industries is an assetAdvanced Excel capabilities and strong analytical skillsExperience with SAAP concur, NetSuite, oracle, JD edwards or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an assetSelf-motivated, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and relationship-building skillsPay range and compensation packageCompetitive base salary and will commiserate with experience and right attitudeRRSP and pension matching programsLong-term career growth within a secure and expanding organization
