Our client is a well-established private family office in the Greater Toronto Area seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join its growing tax team.This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional currently working in public accounting who is looking to make their first move into industry while continuing to work on sophisticated and varied tax matters.The role offers exposure to a broad range of corporate, personal, trust and high-net-worth tax matters, with a meaningful balance of compliance, tax planning, research and advisory work. The successful candidate will work closely with senior tax professionals and other internal stakeholders in a collaborative, high-performing environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist with corporate income tax compliance for private holding, investment and operating companiesPrepare and review personal and trust income tax returnsSupport tax planning for private corporations, shareholders, trusts and high-net-worth individualsAssist with estate, succession and wealth-transfer planning initiativesResearch Canadian and international tax matters and prepare technical summaries and memorandaSupport responses to tax authority inquiries and auditsCoordinate with external tax,



legal and other professional advisorsMonitor tax filing requirements, deadlines and legislative developmentsParticipate in special projects and broader tax planning initiativesIdeal CandidateApproximately 3–5 years of progressive tax experience, ideally within a public accounting firmExperience within Private Client Services, Private Company, High-Net-Worth, Owner-Managed Business or a similar tax practiceCPA designation completed or nearing completionExposure to corporate and personal tax complianceTrust and estate tax experience is an asset, but not requiredEnrollment in or an interest in completing the CPA In-Depth Tax Program is an assetStrong analytical, research and communication skillsHighly motivated, intellectually curious and comfortable working within a small, high-performing teamInterested in developing a broad tax skill set rather than specializing narrowly in one areaThis is particularly well suited to a strong Senior Associate who enjoys technically engaging tax work but is looking for broader exposure, closer involvement in decision-making and a long-term path outside public accounting.
