Big White Ski ResortKelowna, BC V1P1P3, CANDescriptionThe Big White Retail Department is seeking qualified applicants to work as Bootfitters in Dizzy's Ski & Board Shop for the upcoming winter season. Successful applicants should have at least 12 months' prior experience in this or a related field (e.G. podiatry, shoemaking).A sound knowledge of stance analysis as it relates to skiing and snowboarding isessential. Applicants must have the ability to construct posted customfootbedsand be capable of boot modification as required.Duties include:Performing stance analysisMaking orthotic correctionsGrinding and stretching boot materialsCuff alignmentsPerforming stance alignmentRefurbishing and repairing all manner of ski/ snowboard footwearPreparing and posting custom orthotics (footbeds), including selecting suitable lasts, fastening custom insoles to lasts and gluing parts into placeDealing directly with customers to obtain the information necessary to perform the above dutiesEstimate footwear repair costs and take paymentKeeping work areas clean and tidy at all timesComply with all established department and company policies, procedures and code of ethicsUphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service levels at all timesRequired qualifications/attributes:Skilled attitudeGoodorganizationaland time management skillsAbility to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environmentMust be approachable,
