The mine extends to a depth of 3.01 km (9,889 ft), making Kidd the world's deepest base-metal mine.Kidd Operations is now accepting resumes from Electrical Engineering students for co-op placements (12-months) beginning this Winter or as soon as possible.Based at our mine site, the chosen candidates will report to the Maintenance Engineering Department and will be responsible for, but not limited to:Contributing to the implementation of a Ventilation on Demand Automation Project, encompassing both mechanical and electrical disciplinesInvestigating and resolving Engineering Assistance Requests (EARs)



in compliance with industry standardsSupporting the maintenance and organization of the document management databaseCollaborating with cross-functional project teams to ensure effective communication and outcomesAssisting with general office tasks and other responsibilities as assigned by the SupervisorSkills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate will:Be currently enrolled in an Engineering program at a recognized Canadian universityDemonstrate the ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentPossess proficiency in AutoCADExhibit strong interpersonal and communication skillsHold legal authorization to work in CanadaPreference will be given to candidates with a background in Automation or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering applicationsAdditional Information:This posting is for an existing vacancy at Discovery's Kidd Operations.We thank all candidates in advance.
