As an Arrow Driver for our Quesnel Fibre Division, you will be home every day. Drivers haul wood fibre locally in B-train trailers, primarily transporting wood chips, as well as sawdust and hog fuel. Travel will occur on highways in and around Quesnel and throughout Northern BC.To learn more about our Quesnel Division please visit quesnel.Arrow.CaResponsibilitiesOversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices, compliance with applicable Acts and RegulationsPerform pre and post andenroute trip inspections on equipmentoperated, ensuring safety,roadworthiness and regulatory complianceComply withapplicable legislation including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, occupational health and safety, transportation of dangerous goods, and weights and dimensionsComply with all rules and regulations,



protocols and established metricsEfficiently maneuver truck and trailer(s) into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positionedMay operate loading equipment as per role requirementsCheck mobile equipment (i.E.Frontend loaders) to ensure that mechanical and safety equipment is in good working orderReport vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles to the relevant supervisorReport all safety hazards or conditions encountered at load, unload, yard and shop sitesRecord, Maintain and Check all relevant paperwork (i.E. bill of lading,) and documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurateOperate equipment such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other driversComplete electronic and/or manual logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulationsCommunicate effectively and courteously with the public, customers, and co-workersAssist in loading and unloading of trucksPerform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened down and is secureEnsure that material is properly protected from the outdoor elements.
