Assessors work closely with the QA team and contribute their expertise to the development and refinement of the Quality Assurance Program policy,



process and tools.Responsibilities IncludeParticipating in initial and regularly scheduled orientation, training and post‐review debrief sessionsConducting licensee interviews and documentation reviews virtually and in various locations around BCCompleting assessment reportsContributing to improving BCCNM's Quality Assurance ProgramYour Education & SkillsPracticing licensure in good standing with BCCNMCompletion of a BCCNM NP Peer ReviewMinimum five years' experience in clinical practice, including experience managing and leading nursing professionalsMinimum three years' experience as an educator and/or preceptorDemonstrated knowledge regarding:Entry level competencies for RNs and NPsBCCNM Standards of Practice, including the Professional Standards, RN and NP Scope of Practice and Practice Standards and NP competenciesQA Program related legislation, bylaws, policies and proceduresBest practices for prescribing controlled drugs and substances, including chronic non‐cancer pain and opioid agonist therapyPreference will be given to applicants who have completed additional education[1] in prescribing controlled drugs and substances and opioid agonist therapyDemonstrated skills regarding:Conducting professional performance assessmentsConflict resolutionFacilitation/coachingExcellent oral, written and well‐developed interpersonal communication skillsIntermediate level knowledge and experience using videoconferencing platforms and MS Office (MS CRM Dynamics, and MS SharePoint experience an asset)Practice experience in the following areas is considered an asset:Medical aestheticsOncologyADHD assessment and prescribingIndigenous health[1] This education is beyond BCCNM Scope of Practice Conditions for NPs prescribing controlled drugs and substances: e.G. the BC Centre on Substance Use Nurse Practitioner Addictions Fellowship.CompensationSuccessful candidates receive a contract fee for work assigned at the discretion of BCCNM.
