The successful candidate will have the capability to operate various pieces of heavy equipment such as grader, paver, gravel truck, loader, and bobcat. The position may be required to perform general labour duties as needed. Previous experience in asphalt patching is preferred.Job Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperating various pieces of heavy equipment in a secure and appropriate manner.Clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures.Operate backhoe to install and replace centerline and approach culverts as well as small ditch cleaning jobs.Operate various types of equipment to assist with snow removalKeeping detailed and accurate records of work completed (i.E. loads hauled, locations and culvert inventory).Communicate with co-workers and supervisors.Participate in safety meetings.Deal with members of the public in a courteous, respectful manner.Provide labour or other related duties as assigned.Operators have a responsibility to promote and participate in the County's health and safety program,
