Role Description

The Clerk role is a full-time, on-site position located at Real Canadian Superstore in Coquitlam, BC. A Clerk supports daily store operations by stocking shelves, rotating and facing products, and maintaining clean, organized aisles and work areas. Responsibilities typically include assisting customers with product location, answering questions, and providing courteous service at all times. The Clerk may help with pricing, signage, inventory checks, and handling product returns or adjustments in accordance with store policies. The role also requires following health, safety, and food-handling guidelines,



collaborating with team members, and completing tasks assigned by supervisors to ensure the store is well-presented and fully operational.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide friendly, professional customer service and communicate clearly with shoppers and team members.
• Strong attention to detail for stocking, product rotation, labeling, and maintaining store cleanliness and organization.
• Comfort with physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, lifting moderate weights, and moving merchandise safely.
• Basic numeracy and reading skills for handling pricing, signage, inventory counts, and following written directions.
• Reliability in attendance, punctuality, and following store procedures, including health and safety standards.
• Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing customer and store needs.
• Previous retail or grocery experience is an asset but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Availability for a variety of shifts, which may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
