Automotive Mechanic / Automotive Service TechnicianPosition SummaryThe Automotive Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining customer vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently perform repairs while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesVehicle Diagnostics & RepairsDiagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.Perform repairs and maintenance on gasoline and diesel vehicles.Repair or replace engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension components, brakes, exhaust systems, and cooling systems.Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems, including wiring, sensors, charging systems, and vehicle computers.Perform vehicle inspections and identify additional repair needs.Preventative MaintenanceComplete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, filters, and lubrication.Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance according to service schedules.Inspect vehicles for wear, safety concerns, and potential future repairs.Work Order DocumentationAccurately document inspections, diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and recommendations.Complete work orders and technician notes in a timely manner.Record labour times and maintain accurate service records.Customer ServiceCommunicate findings and repair recommendations to the Service Advisor or Service Manager.Provide clear and accurate information regarding vehicle condition and repair requirements.Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with customers.Shop OperationsMaintain a clean, organized,
