The Egg Truck Driver/Egg Processor will work as part of the team ensuring the company's policies and procedures are followed. This is a full-time position with 40 hours per week, the position will be 12-15 hours per week driving, the remaining hours will be helping in the plant as an Egg Processor or Shipper.ScheduleThe work schedule for this position is Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour unpaid lunch and two 15-minute breaks. Weekend and holiday work may be required based on operational requirements.Position AccountabilitiesTransferring un-graded eggs from carts or pallets to the loader unitRecording of wash water temperature and ph balance cleaning buffersPack eggs on carts or into boxes egg grade checksLoading and unloading of eggs and packing suppliesCleaning and sweeping of buildingsCleaning equipment and egg related areasBuilding pallets for shipping to the breaker plantWeighing, listing, and labelling of pallets when completedPick-up and deliver eggs and packaging suppliesOversee daily pre-trip inspection and cleanliness of truckAccept money from stores for cash salesCheck invoices and deliver proper productLoad/Unload heavy product off truck using an electric pallet jack and cartsMaintain vehicle logMaintain positive relationships with customers and farmersPacking good quality products with high attention to detail to meet the needs of our customersProtect the organization's value by keeping all protected and proprietary information confidentialPractice bio-security protocolsFollow all safety processes and proceduresAll other duties as assignedPosition RequirementsGrade 12 or equivalent preferred.Experience driving a truck with air brakesValid Class 3 drivers' license with air brakes, or willing to obtainHave and maintain a positive driving recordStrong commitment to health & safetyAbility to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kgs)Strong commitment to health & safetyAbility to work in a team environmentExperience in the agricultural industry is preferableExperience in food processing preferredExperience using electric pallet jackAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.Ability to work in a fast-paced environmentWorking ConditionsThe position operates indoors in a production workplace that is physically demanding, rapid-paced with repetitive work that requires standing for long periods of time. The work environment may be cooler in certain sections of the facility, with staff working in refrigerated areas. Proper safety footwear is required and supplied with additional PPE available upon request.
