AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. As a Network Deployment Technician at AWS, you will help build and maintain a Cloud Computing Infrastructure across a number of data center and colocation sites in the Americas.The role involves some periods working independently of your team and requires the ability to drive change while maintaining excellent communication.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallation and configuration of routers, switches and DWDM hardwareTroubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations and configurationCoordinating colocation remote hands for current capacity installationsWork cross functionally with internal partners to deliver network capacity projectsResolving data center and facility issuesIdentify, coordinate, and remediate outside plant (OSP) connectivity issuesLead small to mid-size network deployment projectsBuilding relationships with remote teams to ensure swift response times to eventsPerforming site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standardsImproving all operational processes within each site and/or cageProviding status updates to stakeholders via internal toolsDecommissioning of cable and network hardware in collaboration with partner teams as neededPhysical Requirements:
