Duration: 6-month contract with potential for permanent hireWe are seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer to support a growing and evolving QA function transitioning from manual testing to a modern automation-first approach. This role is ideal for a hands-on QE who thrives in transformation environments and is passionate about driving quality across UI, APIs, and backend systems.The team is adopting the Tosca automation framework and leveraging qTest for test management. While Tosca experience is strongly preferred, candidates with Selenium or Playwright experience who have successfully led or contributed to automation transitions are encouraged to apply.You will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Developers, and Agile teams to ensure high-quality releases through strong test design, execution, and risk assessment practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, create, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases aligned with acceptance criteriaDevelop and enhance Tosca automation frameworks and reusable modulesOwn and manage regression testing strategy and coverageExecute functional, regression, API, database, and performance testingValidate backend services, integrations,



and complex data flowsPerform data validation and calculation verification using SQLManage test planning, execution, and reporting using qTestLog, triage, and validate defects using Azure DevOpsProvide test estimates, risk assessments, and quality recommendationsAct as a QA representative within Agile teams and actively contribute to ceremoniesDeliver clear test metrics, status reporting, and release readiness assessmentsRequired Qualifications6+ years of experience in software quality assurance with strong automation and manual testing experienceHands-on expertise with Tosca (preferred) or solid automation experience with Selenium or PlaywrightExperience working with Azure DevOps and qTestExperience with backend validation, API testing, and complex data verificationSolid understanding of Agile methodologies, SDLC, and QA best practicesStrong communication skills and confidence in raising risks and quality concernsPreferred QualificationsISTQB certificationExtensive experience testing APIs and backend servicesExperience contributing to QA automation transformation initiatives
