Our client is currently seeking a qualified Desktop Technician to join their team onsite in Portage La Prairie, MB. The Technician will support a large-scale technology refresh project involving the imaging, preparation, deployment, and support of laptops and desktop computers. This is a hands‑on Desktop Technician role that combines deployment activities with deskside support and hardware break/fix services. The technician will work closely with the project and Field Service teams to ensure devices are properly configured, deployed, and supported. Duties and Responsibilities Image, configure, and prepare laptops and desktop computers for deployment Perform hardware refresh and replacement activities Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, docking stations, and related peripherals Provide deskside technical support to end users Perform hands‑on troubleshooting, hardware break/fix, and repair activities Troubleshoot and resolve common Microsoft Windows operating system and application issues Support the Field Service team with onsite technical requirements as needed Follow established deployment procedures and maintain accurate documentation Communicate professionally with end users, project teams,



and site contacts Skills and Qualifications Hands‑on experience supporting and troubleshooting desktop and laptop hardware Strong knowledge of hardware break/fix and repair Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and related applications Experience with device imaging, configuration, and deployment Previous deskside or onsite technical support experience Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures Ability to work effectively in a rapid‑paced project and field service environment Ability to work onsite and handle or move IT equipment as required The compensation is accurate as of the date of this posting.
