and visitor concerns professionallyDocument care electronically and work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and Nurse LeadersComply with Ontario's Occupational Health & Safety regulationsParticipate in regular training and team meetingsWhat You BringEducation and Commitment to GrowthCurrent registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and RPNAOCPR/AED and First Aid CertificationExperience and ExpertiseMinimum of six months of nursing experience in long-term care preferredProficiency in electronic health record systemsStrong communication, empathy, and teamwork skillsOther RequirementsYou will be required to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained within the past six (6) months, as required by the Long-term care home actProof of a negative 2 Step TB test result along with a one-step negative result from within the last 2 (two) months, as required by the Long-term care home actHours of WorkA part-time employee shall be available to work 10 to 15 shifts which may include holidays and weekends. The work schedule shall be maintained as per Employer policies and CUPE 860 Collective Agreement.Work Schedule - The Employer operates 24 hours, 7 (seven) days a week and your hours of work are based on resident needs which may include working days, afternoons, midnight and weekend shifts. It is understood and agreed that employees will work in accordance with a shift schedule. Shift schedules shall be posted at least seven (7) calendar days prior to such schedule becoming effective.
