Position SummaryBenefits Administrator is responsible for the timely setup and ongoing maintenance of employer, member, and service provider records. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of these records, working closely with other departments to validate data and confirm that service standards are consistently upheld. This role demands a detail-oriented, proactive approach to facilitate efficient operations and maintain the highest level of data integrity.LocationThis is a full time, on-site position based in our Edmonton office.Key Responsibilities:Employer AdministrationEnter employer contribution reports and prepare discrepancy reportsSet up and maintain employers across multiple systemsSend Welcome Packages and reports to new employersRun Hour History and daily E-inTel reportsEnter Contribution Transfer Authorization (CTA) formsMaintain Check Off lists for all clientsRespond to emails from employers and localsMember & Service Provider AdministrationSet up and maintain member, employer, and service provider records to ensure accurate, up to date informationUpdate eligibility statuses and member records as requiredTrack and mail drug cardsProcess Health & Welfare self-payments and prepare monthly self-payment statisticsCreate and mail New Eligible and Self-Pay correspondenceManage weekly HCSA (Health Care Spending Account)
data loadsReporting & Cross-Departmental SupportRun monthly reports to support departmental functionsProvide administrative support to the Pension teamProvide support to the call centre and finance departmentRespond to inquiries from other departmentsCreate and maintain spreadsheets and documents supporting benefits tracking and administrationContinuous ImprovementAnalyze issues as they arise and develop effective solutionsContinually review current processes for efficiency improvementsQualifications and Attributes:Post-secondary diploma or certificate in Office or Business AdministrationProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)Accurate and efficient alpha and numeric keyboarding skillsStrong computer skills, with an acceptable level of keyboarding speed and accuracyWorking knowledge of office procedures; prior office experiencean assetExcellent writing and verbal communication skillsExcellent organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks and consistently meet company service standardsAttention to detail and commitment to accuracy of workAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships, and to work independently and as part of a teamSuccessful completion of a cleared criminal background check is required
