Education World is seeking an enthusiastic, resilient, and compassionate Support Assistant to join a dedicated Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) team in the Tyne Valley.This is a fantastic full-time prospect to work with students who require additional support due to social, emotional, and mental health needs, behavioural challenges, or other barriers to learning. If you're looking to build valuable experience in specialist education while making a real impact, this role is for you.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport teaching staff in delivering engaging and effective lessons tailored to individual student needsProvide 1:1 or small group support to students who require additional assistanceSupport students with SEN, SEMH, behavioural, or additional learning needsAssist with classroom and behaviour management strategies, including de-escalation techniquesSupervise students throughout the school day, ensuring their safety and wellbeingHelp create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environmentBuild positive, trusting relationships with students and encourage their engagement in educationWork collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to meet student needsRequirementsA genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educationExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively as part of a dedicated PRU teamResilience, patience,
