Electro Cables, a Nexans company, is growing and is currently seeking experienced Machine Operators to join our Armouring Department in Trenton, Ontario.Armouring Machine Operators are responsible for safely setting up, operating, and monitoring industrial equipment used in the production of wire and cable products. This is a fast-paced position that requires robust mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and operating requirements at the same time.Previous machine-operating experience in a manufacturing environment is required. Previous experience with wire and cable manufacturing or armouring equipment is considered an asset.Work Location & FlexibilityElectro Cables operates two manufacturing facilities in Trenton, Ontario—Sidney Street and Riverside Drive.While the successful candidate may initially be assigned to the Armouring Department at a specific plant, production line, or shift, employees may be reassigned to different departments, production lines, shifts, or plant locations based on operational requirements and at the discretion of management.Candidates must have reliable transportation, as public transit in Trenton is limited and may not accommodate all shift schedules.This position is currently open and available.CompensationThe starting wage for this position is $22.66 per hour.Wage progression is based on the role and department assigned, with rates ranging up to $29.69 per hour following successful completion of training and probationary requirements.Placement into a specific machine role and the applicable wage progression will be determined based on operational needs and the successful candidate's skills, experience, and demonstrated abilities. or midnights is considered an asset.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up, operate, and monitor armouring machines and related manufacturing equipmentManage multiple tasks and machine requirements in a fast-paced production environmentMonitor equipment and operating conditions throughout the production processPerform product and material changeovers safely and efficientlyProduce wire and cable products according to manufacturing instructions and specificationsMonitor product quality and make adjustments within established operating proceduresIdentify equipment or quality concerns and assist with basic troubleshootingPerform measurements using tools such as calipers and micrometersComplete production documentation and reporting accuratelyMove, handle, and organize production materials as requiredMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaFollow all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulationsSupport continuous improvement and production-efficiency initiativesPerform other duties as assigned to support operational requirementsQualificationsPrevious machine-operating experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is requiredPrevious experience operating armouring equipment or working in wire and cable manufacturing is considered an assetStrong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial machineryAbility to multitask, remain organized, and respond to changing production requirementsStrong attention to detail, quality, and accuracyKnowledge of measurement tools, including calipers and micrometers,
