Concrete FinisherWe are currently seeking Concrete Finishers to work on concrete installation projects located in Edmonton. We offer competitive wages ($38+), work / life balance, outstanding opportunity for advancement, training and potential for work over the winter.Duties include (but are not limited to):Place and finish concrete floors, driveways, sidewalks, curbs, bridge decks and other concrete structuresApply architectural, exposed, patterned, and stamped surfacesLevel and smooth top surface concrete according to grade and depth specificationRound edges and make joints / grooves to help control crackingInstall anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixturesRepair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structuresFill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cementOperate power vibrators to compact concreteImpart desired finish (broomed / smooth) to concrete surfaces using hand and power toolsApply hardening and sealing components to cure surfacesWaterproof,



damps proof and restore surfacesPlace and finish concrete surfaces to project specificationsEnsure freshly poured concrete surfaces are protected from constantly changing weather conditions (covered, heat & hoarded accordingly)Provide quality assurance/control for concrete poursWork with minimal supervision and directionFollow all safety and quality control proceduresParticipate in site safety meetingsRequired Skills:A minimum of 3 years of experience is requiredExperience with various flat work finishing is requiredGrouting experience is an assetHave knowledge how to properly use dry pack grouting and epoxy materialsProven expertise in how to perfectly cure concreteUnderstand how to use power/small tools such as plate tampers, carb saws, etc.Ability to work long hours (10+ hour days) outdoors in various weather conditionsPhysical able to perform heavy manual tasks, including lifting, shoveling, moving heavy materials up to 50lbsWorking understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely mannerBe fit for duty and prepared for work each dayPositive attitude / team playerStrong communication / listening skills and ability to follow direction
