DescriptionForemost has an immediate opening for Mechanical Assembler Hydrovac Truck Assembler reporting into our Foreman Truck Assembly, located at our facility in Stettler, Alberta. As a Mechanical Assembler in our facility, you will be responsible for performing all aspects of truck assembly while working with other employees as part of a team, and in cooperation/collaboration with other shifts and departments.Key Responsibilities:Install or assemble any major or minor sub-assemblies in hydrovac trucks and related componentsBolt, screw, clip, or otherwise fasten together parts to form subassembliesSet up and operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and production fixturesLoad and position metal body components, assemblies, frames preparatory to the welding processInstall mechanical and electrical components and systemsFit, fasten and adjust truck partsSeal joints and seamsMaintain organized work area according to policies, procedures and safety regulationsFill vehicle systems with fluids, coolants and oilEnsures assemblies meet quality and performance requirementsPerforms other tasks related to his/her classificationOther duties as requiredQualifications:Able to lift a maximum of 50lbs at times as required by the jobMechanical experience,



apprentice or journeyman preferredHydraulic, electrical, welding aptitude is an assetBasic computer skills are a definite plus, but not necessaryAble to read blueprints and various types of measuring devicesWork in a crouched position at times, crawl under trucks, climb ladders, and stand on concrete floors for long periods as needed to do various job tasksMaintains a set of tools required to perform assembly functionsSafety Training an asset, but will train as requiredSelf-motivated, with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on high quality and safetyAbout ForemostForemost is a large and diverse industrial manufacturer.
