This position is day shift Monday to Friday, and hourly (no flat rate!). The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:Responsibilities:Performing preventative maintenance on customer forklifts and other material handling equipmentDiagnose and repair all forms of customer equipmentCompleting each repair job in a timely, efficient, and professional mannerProviding exceptional customer serviceWork and manage workloads independentlyAccurately complete and submit all required paperwork and electronic documentation, including updating work orders in company systemsTrack work-in-process (WIP), labor time, and job status using digital toolsFollow company digital workflows and maintain accurate electronic service recordsIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesPerforms other duties as assignedConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start timeWe encourage our technicians to participate in our in-house paid training program, allowing them to acquire additional skills in diagnosis and troubleshooting and further advance their career as a technician. company uniforms are provided!Qualifications:Fluent in French - written and spoken (mandatory)Two years of previous mechanical repair experience in forklift, auto, diesel, agricultural or heavy equipment repair experiencePrevious field experience is highly preferableExcellent mechanical aptitudePossess own toolsMust have clean driving record and valid driver's license to drive company vehicleInterpersonal skillsBasic computer proficiency, including daily use of a laptopAbility to enter and update work orders in a computerized systemComfortable using web-based systems, email, and standard office toolsLanguage Skills - Intermediate: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands/Work Workplace:Physical/Sensory Functions: Regularly will stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands; Frequently will talk/hear; Occasionally will sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.Frequent bending and working from a prone position (lying down while working underneath equipment) are required.Vision: No special vision requirements.Lift and/or Move Functions: Regularly will lift to 10 pounds; Frequently will lift 11to 25 pounds.Work Environment: Regularly will work near moving mechanical parts; Frequently will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles,
