An Electrical Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical projects from inception to completion. They play a crucial role in the successful execution of our projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, schedule creation, resource allocation, and risk assessments.Budget Management: Create and manage project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost‐saving opportunities.Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross‐functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of electrical principles, CSA Canadian Electrical Code and industry standards.Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure project goals are met.Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet specifications.Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and enforce safety protocols on the job site.Problem‐Solving: Identify and resolve project issues and challenges in a timely manner.Education / Competency Requirements:Strong project management skills, including planning,



scheduling, and budgeting.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Solid leadership and team management abilities.Problem‐solving and decision‐making skills.Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.Proficiency in relevant software tools: JDE, Procore.Work Experience Requirements:Experience in the construction industry is preferred:Journeyperson ElectricianConstruction Management5 years' experience in the electrical ICI sector combined with supervisory and/or superintendents' role.Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements:Contract management.Construction scheduling, planning, and execution.Blueprint reading.Project design interpretation.Business operations processes.Organization and time management.Must be able to obtain a Level II Secret Clearance.Willing and able to travel within NS.Intermediate User Skills:Procore.MS Office (Word, Excel, Project).JD Edwards or an Oracle‐based ERP system would be an asset.Black & McDonald welcomes and encourages applications from persons with disabilities.
