This role is responsible for executing procurement and contracting strategies, managing service agreements, and supporting project performance through effective commercial oversight.Work Location: Vancouver with periodic travel to project sites across BCContract Duration: 1 year with possible extensionEmployment Type: Independent ContractorKey ResponsibilitiesSupport end-to-end procurement of services including engineering, consulting, and site support servicesDevelop and execute contracting strategies aligned with project objectivesPrepare and issue tender documentation, manage bid evaluations, and support award recommendationsNegotiate commercial terms and draft service agreements and contract documentsManage contract variations, extensions,



and change orders through to completionReview supplier invoices against contract terms and support payment processesBuild and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure effective service deliveryIdentify opportunities to optimize costs and improve commercial outcomesSupport logistics, equipment, and operational service agreements as requiredQualificationsDegree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related disciplineStrong understanding of procurement, contracting, and commercial processesExperience in procurement, contracts, or commercial roles within projects or industrial environmentsExposure to capital projects, construction, or mining environments preferredFamiliarity with ERP or procurement systems (e.G., SAP, Ariba) is an assetSkills:Strong negotiation and contract management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesEffective stakeholder communication and relationship managementAbility to manage multiple priorities in a quick-paced project environmentWe thank all applicants for their interest.
