Job Code: 26572Status: Temporary Part Time (up to 6 months)Location: Providence Care HospitalUnion: OPSEU 4104 Service ClericalWage: $27.74 - $28.64/hrPosting Period: August 22, 2026 - August 31, 2026Working as a collaborative team member, the Logistics and Nutrition Assistant performs various duties including food and nutrition preparation, delivery, cleaning and sanitation processes; portering patients/clients/equipment/supplies; and providing transportation services for outpatients/clients.Skills and Qualifications Required:Minimum of Ontario Secondary School Grade 12 equivalencyCompletion of the requirements for the National Food Safety Training Certificate Program, preferredSix months' work experience in an institutional food services environment, preferredExperience working with HACCP guidelines, preferredValid Ontario driver's license Class G, and clear driver's abstract; Class F, preferredExperience using computerized systemsPosition Responsibilities:Assists in provision of food services for centralized and decentralized meal service for patient/clients.Assists with routine food preparation tasks.Operates a variety of equipment such as dish machine, food chopper, toaster, and the transport vehicle as assigned.Maintains cleanliness by cleaning and sanitizing food service equipment, work surfaces, delivery carts or denest, dining tables, storage areas and pot areasPerforms inventory control and quality standard related duties by completing Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP)
