We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer with strong reliability and maintenance expertise to support upgrading operations and optimize plant performance.You will collaborate closely with Production Unit Teams (PUTs), Maintenance, Operations, and E&I specialists to improve equipment reliability, resolve asset performance issues, and drive operational excellence.Location: Fort McMurray, AlbertaSchedule: Monday to Friday | 40 hours/weekJob type: 3 months contract with high possibility of extensionPay: $80- $95/hrKey ResponsibilitiesProvide day-to-day engineering support for instrumentation and control systemsLead troubleshooting and root cause investigations for equipment failures and bad actorsSupport specification, selection, commissioning, maintenance, and optimization of instrumentation, control valves,



and shutdown systemsDevelop and maintain asset strategies and preventive maintenance programsParticipate in PHA/LOPA reviews and Safety Instrumented Functions (SIF) validation and developmentLead and support Management of Change (MOC) initiativesCreate engineering work packages, drawings, datasheets, loop diagrams, and control documentationIdentify reliability improvement opportunities and drive cost-effective solutionsMonitor regulatory and critical instrumentation compliance programsQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical or Instrumentation EngineeringRegistered as Peng with APEGA5-10+ years of maintenance, reliability, asset integrity, and project experience within Oil & Gas, Refining, or Process IndustriesStrong knowledge of DCS, SIS, PLC, BMS, CEMS, Fire & Gas Systems, Analyzers, AMS, and industrial communication networksFamiliarity with IEC, ISA, IEEE, API, ANSI, NFPA, NEC, and Canadian Electrical Code standardsSAP and Microsoft Office proficiencyValid driver's license with a clean driving recordIf you have a background in Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Asset Integrity, Maintenance Engineering, or Process Plant Operations, we'd love to hear from you.
