A well-established North American retail/manufacturing organization is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to join its corporate accounting team. This is a hands-on role offering broad ownership across the accounting cycle, financial reporting and analysis within a collaborative setting.The RoleOwn key aspects of the month-end close, including journal entries, accruals and reconciliationsMaintain and analyze balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving discrepanciesManage accounting schedules including fixed assets, prepaids, payroll and inventoryPrepare financial reporting and provide variance analysis and commentary on resultsPartner with FP&A and other finance stakeholders to explain financial performanceSupport cash flow forecasting, audit requirements,



tax remittances and consolidation/reportingIdentify accounting issues and contribute to process improvements and stronger financial controlsTake broad ownership of assigned business/account areas from close through reporting and analysisIdeal CandidateStrong hands-on experience with month-end close and general accountingExperience with journal entries, reconciliations and financial analysisStrong critical-thinking skills with the ability to investigate results and identify when something does not make senseBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldCPA designation is an asset, but not requiredRetail, inventory, manufacturing and/or consolidation experience considered an assetOpen to either an existing Senior Analyst or a strong intermediate-level candidate ready to step into a broader senior role
