This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of civil construction and utility projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment where your skills and contributions truly matter.If you're someone who values teamwork, takes safety seriously, and enjoys hands-on work with modern equipment — we want to hear from you.What You'll DoAs a Hydrovac Operator, you will safely operate hydrovac excavation equipment to support underground utility work, excavation projects, and civil construction activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSafely operate hydrovac trucks and related excavation equipmentPerform daylighting, potholing, trenching, slot trenching, debris removal, and non-destructive excavationExpose underground utilities while minimizing risk and damageConduct pre-trip inspections, hazard assessments, and daily equipment checksFollow WorkSafeBC regulations, secure excavation practices, and company safety proceduresMaintain daily logs, inspection reports, and excavation recordsPerform routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipmentCommunicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, subcontractors,



and utility representativesAssist with general labour and construction tasks as neededRepresent the company professionally with clients and the publicWhat You BringValid Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence with Air Brake EndorsementClean driver's abstract and ability to maintain insurable driving statusExperience operating hydrovac or heavy equipment in a construction or utility environment preferredKnowledge of underground utility locating and safe excavation practicesAbility to read utility locates, site plans, and construction drawingsStrong commitment to safety, teamwork, and professionalismReliable, adaptable, and able to work in changing site and weather conditionsWHMIS and construction safety training, or willingness to obtainAdditional certifications such as OFA, Traffic Control, Ground Disturbance, or Confined Space are considered assetsWorking ConditionsThis role involves working outdoors in varying weather and construction site conditions.
